Connie Bullock | Bullock Hope House

Connie Bullock, CEO/Chair

Connie spent most of her career in Sales Administration and after 19 years in the motorsports and marine industry, she retired from corporate where she and her family established the Bullock Foundation, Inc. (aka Bullock Hope House) in 2005, a 501(c)(3) IRS approved, non-profit organization.

She was selected to serve and is currently on WellStar Cobb’s Regional Health Board where she served as Board Chair in 2011-2012, Vice Chair 2022-2023 and also serves on the WellStar Vinings Community Leadership Team. She was the 2015 President of the South Cobb Business Association, 2017 Board Member and Ambassador of the Cobb Chamber of Commerce, current member of the Cobb Republican Women, past recipient of the “Glass Ceiling Award” for the Paulding Empowering Women, a member of DAR (Daughter of the American Revolution) and 2022-2023 President of the Rotary of South Cobb.

A native Georgian, Mrs. Bullock and her husband Randall, reside in Powder Springs and have one daughter, Kim and 2 Grandsons Cooper and Blaine and son-in-law Tony. They all spend most of their free time watching Cooper and Blaine play sports.

Kim Bullock Unangst | Bullock Hope House

Kim Bullock-Unangst, President

Was appointed as Director for Grady Hospital, Georgia Coordinating  Center in Atlanta and retired as EMS Division Chief and Paramedic with DeKalb County Fire Rescue where she has been serving the citizens of DeKalb County for the past 24 years. Her career began in 1995 when she was hired as a Paramedic with DeKalb EMS. After a merger with DeKalb Fire in 2001 she became a firefighter and followed in the footsteps of her father who is a retired City of Atlanta Captain. Kim has her degree in Fire Science from Columbia Southern University.

In her position as Director of the GCC, she serves on the Region 3 EMS Council for the State of Georgia and also represents The GCC for the Region Executive Committee, Region D Healthcare Coalition

Born and raised in Powder Springs, Georgia and a graduate of John McEachern High School she now lives in Dallas, Georgia with her husband of 19 years, Tony and her two sons Cooper age 17 and Blaine age 12.

Most of her free time is spent at the ball field watching her boys play baseball, and spending time with family and friends. She teaches Sunday school at her local church and enjoys her church family as well.

Lee Kaylor - CFO

Lee serves as the CFO for the Bullock Hope House organization. He grew up in a small rural southern town. He started his career with a local Board of Education and rose to Director of Internal Audits and Compliance and held that position for seven years. He holds the position of Project Manager for Tyler Technologies specializing in Munis ERP solution implementation and enjoys analyzing data. He continuously learns and is studying SQL languages and query building. Tyler Technology is the top leading provider for public sector software offering a wide arrange of products for Courts and Justice, Local Governments Enterprise Resource Planning to Appraisals and Tax Services. Lee is also an Adjunct Professor of Accounting at Georgia Highlands College.

Lee holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Accounting Degree from Shorter University.

Debi Dalton | Bullock Hope House

Dr, Debi Dalton, MD, MBA, RPh, CPE, FAAP, FACHE, Medical Advisor

Dr. Debi Dalton serves as the Medical Advisor for the Bullock Hope House since 2010. Dr. Dalton currently serves as the Chief Medical Officer and VP of Medical Affairs for Wellstar Douglas Medical Center. She is Board Certified in Pediatric Emergency Medicine and Pediatrics as well as in Pharmacy. She was the Medical Director for the Pediatric Emergency Departments at Wellstar Cobb and Wellstar Paulding Medical Centers from 2000 until her current position.

Dr. Dalton is a Board Member of the Georgia Composite Medical Board and is a Past-Chair for the GCMB, having been reappointed by the Governor for a second term in 2023. She also served on the Governor’s Healthcare Workforce Commission in 2022. Dr. Dalton was recently elected as the President-Elect of the Medical Association of Georgia, having completed two terms as Secretary for MAG.

Dr. Dalton is a strong advocate for patient safety and delivering quality care. She has worked on several committees within Wellstar Health System and the Medical Association of Georgia including combating the opioid crisis, wellness and resiliency. She believes that patient healing requires family support, especially when those patients are traveling far from home for their medical care. The Bullock Hope House provides a safe,inviting place for these patients or their families to stay while their loved ones receive care within the Metro Atlanta area. Dr. Dalton resides in Powder Springs with her husband and three children.

Vicky Hogue, Advisory Board Chair

Vicky Hogue is a retired Registered Nurse that served as Vice President of Patient Services, Chief Nursing Officer for Wellstar Paulding Hospital. Vicky transferred from Wellstar Cobb Hospital to Wellstar Paulding Hospital in 2009 to assist in designing and building Wellstar Paulding Hospital’s state of the art replacement hospital. Vicky brings more than 40 years of nursing experience as a critical care nurse and nursing leadership to the organization. 

In her role, she was responsible for clinical, operational, and financial leadership for nursing and clinical inpatient and outpatient services. As an innovative thought-leader, Vicky delivers advisory services in areas such as leadership, coaching, talent acquisition, compensation, organizational design and change, performance management and more. She continuously collaborated with other leaders to ensure the entire nursing team embodies the mission, vision, values and culture of Wellstar Health System.

 Vicky received her Bachelor of Science in nursing and Master of Science in nursing degrees from Kennesaw State University, Kennesaw, Georgia. She was also nationally certified in Critical Care Nursing and Evidence-Based Healthcare Design.   

 Her nursing career has been dedicated to creating high quality, reliable systems of care and developing the next generation of nurses and health care professionals to lead in these ever-changing times. Vicky says, “Leading through a national pandemic has brought about challenges that require leadership, innovation and resiliency. I have never been more energized in 40 years of nursing. Our nurses are at the top of their game, and it shows in patient outcomes and job satisfaction. It has been an honor for Vicky to lead, inspire, challenge, influence and support these outstanding clinicians.”  

 With Vicky’s leadership, Wellstar Paulding was able to achieve: 2019 Governor’s Sterling & Oglethorpe Award for sustained Excellence, 2020 CNOR Strong for 70% of eligible RNS certified with CNOR, 2020 National Baldrige National Quality Award, 2021 International Lantern Award for Emergency Department Excellence, 2021 Trauma Designated and 2021 Magnet Designation. 

Vicky is the recipient of the 2021 Nikki T. Randall Servant Leadership Award for her leadership during a Worldwide Pandemic, 2021 Atlanta Business Chronicle Honoree for Nursing Leadership and 2021 AJC Nursing Leader of the Year. She has also published multiple articles and presented nationally on Healthcare leadership.  

Charles Morris | Bullock Hope House

Charles Morris, Legal Advisor

Upon graduating from Douglas County High, enlisted in the Navy as an aviation hydraulics and aircraft airframes specialist working or managing the maintenance department on C54, P2, P3, A4, F8, A7, and P3 aircraft. After 20 years in the Navy, he retired as a Master Chief Petty Officer (E9).

While in the Navy, he attended the University of Maryland obtaining his Associate’s Degree in 1981 and his Bachelor’s Degree in 1983.

During his last year in the Navy, he began law school at Georgia State University College of Law. During law school, he was a member of the Georgia State College of Law National Moot Court Competition team and president of the Moot Court. Following graduation from law school, he opened a private practice working in the areas of insurance and probate law and mediation of civil cases. He has been an attorney and member of the Georgia bar since 1990. He is admitted to practice law in all Georgia trial level Courts, the Georgia Court of Appeals, the Georgia Supreme Court, and the U.S. Northern District Courts.

He is a honorary member of the Rotary Club of Douglas County where he held the offices of Secretary for 3 years, Treasurer for 2 years and twice he was elected as Club President. Additionally, he held the position of Rotary District 6900 Assistant Governor for 3 years.

At the current time, his practice areas consist of Probate Law and being a mediator mediating civil cases in for Cobb County and the 7th Judicial District of Georgia.

Judge Angela | Bullock Hope House

Judge Angela O’Conor, Director

Governor Brian Kemp appointed Angela Reedy O’Conor as the first State Court Judge in Paulding County. Prior to Governor Kemp’s appointment, Judge O’Conor was appointed by the Director of Georgia Public Defenders Council as the Paulding Circuit Public Defender and served in that capacity since 2017. Judge O’Conor moved to Paulding County from Cobb County where she served four years as an Assistant District Attorney for Cobb District Attorney’s Office and six years as a Marietta Police Officer. During the time on patrol at Marietta she completed law school at John Marshall Law School.

Judge O’Conor was raised in East Tennessee with her identical twin sister and her two other siblings. She attended University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and interned with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation prior to permanently moving to Georgia.

Shelbia Bone, IOM, Director of Marketing

January 2024, Shelbia joined the Hardy Family Automotive Group as their Community Relations Coordinator. She served as the Vice President of the Paulding Chamber of Commerce since 2005 where she increased the Chamber’s membership by 35% overall with a 93% retention rate. Shelbia was instrumental in coordinating events and Leadership programs for the Chamber. A Graduate of the UGA Institute for Organization Management, Graduate of the Georgia Academy for Economic Development and active member of professional seminars and conferences.

Shelbia is an original Paulding Countian, married to Ottis, has one daughter Jami and Grandson Jake and Granddaughter Olivia.

Sherry King, Assistant to CEO

Sherry King brings a lifelong commitment to service, relationship-building, and community support to her role as
Assistant to the CEO. Born in Roswell, New Mexico, and raised in a military family, she developed early values of
adaptability, integrity, and compassion—principles that have guided her throughout her personal and professional
journey. After her family settled in Greenville, South Carolina, Sherry completed her education and later moved to
Atlanta, Georgia, where she began her career.
Sherry’s professional path reflects her dedication to helping others and her natural ability to connect with people. She
began in the insurance industry before being recruited into the rapidly expanding telecommunications sector.
Throughout her career, she served organizations ranging from Fortune 1000/5000 companies to small businesses,
consistently prioritizing trust, service, and long-term relationships. Her portfolio included major institutions such as
Delta Air Lines, Worldspan, The Weather Channel, the CDC, Emory University, to name a few. Sherry successfully
navigated multiple corporate transitions—including BellSouth Mobility, Cingular Wireless, AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile
—before retiring during the COVID-19 era.
Sherry’s commitment to community service extends well beyond her corporate work. One of her most meaningful
projects was leading the revitalization of the Cobb County Police Memorial Garden into a therapeutic garden for Cobb
County 911 employees. She coordinated the full fundraising effort and oversaw the transformation of the space, which
was later featured on Cobb TV’s YouTube channel in the segment “911’s New Grow Garden” (April 20, 2022).
Sherry also plays an active role in the Bullock Hope House Golf Fore Hope Annual Tournament, one of the
organization’s most impactful fundraising events. She supports tournament coordination, donor engagement, and
community outreach, helping ensure the event continues to raise essential funds for families in medical crisis. Her
involvement reflects her belief in bringing people together for a purpose and strengthening the mission of Bullock
Hope House through meaningful community partnerships.
Sherry and her husband, Bernard King, reside in Dallas, Georgia. They cherish time with their extended family,
including seven nieces and nephews and eight grandnieces and grandnephews. They share a deep appreciation for
the outdoors—whether at the beach or in the mountains—and a mutual commitment to giving back to the communities
they love.
Sherry’s professional experience, community leadership, and heart for service reflect the values of Bullock Hope
House and strengthen its mission to provide compassion, dignity, and support to those in need.

Boyd Monk, Volunteer Coordinator

Boyd Monk, a native of Paulding County, has roots deeply intertwined within the community, stretching back eight generations. He enjoys helping people find their dream homes and currently works as a Realtor with Ansley Real Estate | Christie’s International Real Estate and is often recognized for his accomplishments. Boyd’s commitment extends beyond his professional life, as he is an active advocate for the well-being of the Paulding community. He serves as an Ambassador for Wellspring Living, a member of the United Way’s Paulding Community Council, and a Director of Carelink of Northwest Georgia. Additionally, he serves as the Past- President of Kiwanis of Paulding and holds the position of Vice President with the Dallas Merchants Association.

Boyd and his partner Lee have made their home in the beautiful downtown Dallas, Georgia.

Doris Devey, Assistant Volunteer Coordinator

I started my life as a Georgia Peach forty (43) years ago when our family moved from Pittsburgh, PA to East Point, GA.  I had worked for Westinghouse Bettis Atomic Plant as a nuclear inspector for 16.5 years but with the declining work field that my husband was in, the decision to move to Georgia become a reality and we never looked back.  My husband became an educator and retired 3 years ago from teaching and our son David went on to also become an educator and is teaching here at Paulding County High School in the field of physical education and is also the head baseball coach. He and his wife Amber and step-son Malachi live here in Paulding County.

  Here are some of my accomplishments over those 43 years.

  • Owned a residential/commercial cleaning service for 13 years
  • Worked in retail sales of cellular phones and became a National Sales Trainer for a division of Radio Shack, traveling the United States training regional, district and store managers on how to sale to the public
  • Moved to the City of Hiram, in Paulding County 23 years ago
  • In 2011 I made a decision to run for Mayor of the City of Hiram, one of the best decisions of my life. I served as Mayor from 2012-2016.  Becoming Mayor, allowed me to become active in the community and to sit on many boards.  Here are some of them:

Andrew Olson, Secretary

Andrew started his career in 1999 building homes in the Atlanta metro area for several prominent home building companies. Over the years his passion for building lead him to branch out and complete projects in other disciplines of the industry including multi-family, retail, hospitality, restaurants and commercial office space. Andrew has been
with Malone Construction since 2006.

In recent years, Andrew has been involved in a variety of construction projects ranging from Retail, Residential, Corporate Interiors to Medical. Some of the more notable projects: Regents Park at Peachtree Battle, Renovations at
The St Regis Atlanta, Sovereign, Mandarin Oriental. Atlas Restaurant, The Garden Room, Gunshow Restaurant, Revival Restaurant, Charles Schwab at Hammond, Kimberly Clark Corporate Campus, Avanos, and numerous private residences in the Atlanta metro area.
